Happy Father's Day

Words cannot describe what a wonderful father Christopher is to our daughter Hannah, but these pictures can.  Even though Hannah is to young to remember these first 9 months, I want her to be able to look back and know what an amazing daddy she has.

He was in awe of you from the moment he saw you.

Taking you home from the hospital was one of the most exciting and overwhelming days of his life.

 He was the only one that could rock you to sleep during those first months.

 He picked out a perfect pumpkin for you, but made me carry it so that he could keep holding you.

 You replaced me as his soux chef.

 He was so excited to introduce you to his parents. 
I doubt he's ever been more proud.

 Among all his friends at the holiday party,
you're the one he wanted to celebrate with.

 He willingly wore the baby bjorn in public.  He even wore it around the house.

 He loves that people always comment that you look just like your daddy.

 He lets you use his fingers as teethers.

 I might have made it,
but your father fed you your first solid food.

 He hates leaving you to go to work.

Even surrounded by a field of flowers,
all he could talk about was how pretty you are.

 He's proven that he's going to be the laid back parent,
so I'm sure you'll like him more when you're a teenager.
  (A sharpie?  Really Chris? :)

And if it's sleeping in...

Or after a long day of playing,

You can always count on dad to be up for taking a nap with you.

 
And, most importantly - It's because of him (and you!) that we're a happy family.
