Hannah has been very interested in drawing lately.
Scraps of envelopes and ball point pens keep
disappearing from counter tops and purses.
Straight lines and circles are not-so-meticulously practiced
over and over on the front and back of art paper.
Every flat surface makes an excellent art table for her.
I love watching her little hand hovering over the scattered pencils,
just trying to figure out the best color to use next.
But the drawing she created last night was, by far, the most unique one yet.
As she sat the paper on the ground we became confused,
As she carefully positioned the pencil we became intrigued, and
As she drew a picture - using multiple colors - with her feet
we were... impressed? confused? beguiled?
Hopeful that she would become a famous and highly coveted toe artist?
It's amazing to watch their minds work.
Exploring, experimenting, and creating.
Hannah definitely puts her own unique twist on things.
And we wouldn't have it any other way.
